Alexander McQueen Headquarters

Aylesbury Street in Clerkenwell is home to Alexander McQueen's London headquarters, a building that brought together the fashion house's offices, ateliers, and design studios under one roof, close to the brand's original East London atelier. Redeveloped from a historic warehouse, the building drew on the scale and industrial character of the surrounding area, its 1920s-inspired design realised through carefully chosen materials and craft-based collaboration across the UK.

We manufactured the glazed terracotta faience cladding for the building's façade, a material whose warmth and handcrafted quality sat naturally alongside the steel-framed Crittall-style windows, and one entirely in keeping with the building's commitment to British craft and material honesty.
