Blackpool Tower

Opened in 1894 and modelled on the Eiffel Tower, Blackpool Tower is one of Britain's most iconic landmarks and one of its most demanding restoration challenges. When Blackpool Council embarked on a multi-million pound conservation programme, our craftspeople manufactured the bespoke replacement terracotta pieces needed to restore the nine arched bays of the sea-facing façade, including highly decorated panels and arched elements, each one handmade to faithfully match the originals. 

Working to the designs of Francis Roberts Architects, with F Parkinson as principal contractor, every damaged, broken or missing decorative piece was carefully replicated, preserving the ornate character of a building that has defined the Blackpool seafront for over a century.
