Inaugurated in 1912, the Ritz-Carlton Montreal is one of Canada's most storied luxury hotels, the first in the world to carry both the Ritz and Carlton names, and a landmark of Montreal's Golden Square Mile.
We were appointed to carry out exterior elevation terra cotta block replacements and renewal across the building, including decorative elements and cornices, completed in 2019. It's exactly the kind of heritage restoration brief we were made for, matching the character and quality of early twentieth century architectural terra cotta, and ensuring the building's most defining features were returned to the standard its history demands.
The Ritz-Carlton Montreal remains Quebec's only AAA Five Diamond Hotel and one of Canada's premier heritage addresses.
