Plaquemine Lock is a canalside pub and restaurant on the Regent’s Canal in Angel, Islington, known for its distinctive Louisiana-inspired identity and lively atmosphere. Originally a traditional pub building, it was reimagined with a striking new faience frontage, for which we manufactured the ceramic tiles for the full façade, giving the exterior a bold, decorative presence while tying it back into the canal-side context.
The façade enhances the building’s street and waterway presence, adding texture, colour, and craftsmanship that reflect both contemporary design and historic reference. This refurbishment plays a key role in the pub’s transformation into a vibrant destination for Cajun and Creole food, live music, and social gatherings.
