Due to a sustained period of growth and full order book, Darwen Terracotta Ltd are recruiting for candidates to join its dedicated and skilled team at their ceramic manufacturing site in Blackburn.
GRP Sanitary Ware case makers (2 positions)
These roles cover the preparation and manufacture of GRP (fibreglass and plastic gelcoat) sanitaryware cases to produce plaster moulds. The role would ideally suit candidates with a background in working with GRP or plaster, but as this is a very specialized role full training will be provided.
Hours: 40 per week Mon to Fri 7am – 3pm
Sanitary Ware Sprayer
Our sprayers are some of our most skilled and crucial workers in producing the stunning finishes on our handmade products. The post involves the application of ceramic glazes to the clay products using gravity or pressure fed manual spraying systems. Good manual dexterity and an eye for quality and detail are the key skills required. This role would ideally suit a young apprentice who is willing to learn and grow with our business alongside our experienced highly skilled staff.
Hours: 40 per week Mon to Fri 6am – 2pm
We also run a loyalty bonus scheme that increases workers hourly rates dependent on length of employment above 3 years continuous service.
